Fire, A Good Book, and Sleep

The kids and I have been reading “The Runnaway’s Revenge” by Dave and Neta Jackson the last few nights.  We’ve been lighting the fire and laying in front of it while enjoying the ambiance as I read.  It has really been a treat.  The mood was calm Monday night so I let the kids fall asleep in front of the fireplace.  It was really dark, but you can’t tell from the picture.  Master C said that he loved waking up in front of the fireplace in the morning.  Even though I had turned it off.  Of course they wanted to sleep there every night since, but it just doesn’t work two nights in a row!  Just looking at the picture, I can’t believe they fell asleep so close to each other.  It took them a bit to fall asleep, but no major poking or annoying each other went on.
