Music to My Ears

I heard a phrase uttered from my eleven year old’s  mouth tonight that was music to my ears.  As he was walking down the hall for bed he turned and said, “It’s not fair that you’re always right.  How come you’re always right?”

OK folks, it’s here in print.  I wrote it down and it will never be erased from cyberspace.  He cannot deny that he ever let those words slip from his tongue.  I’m sure some day he will regret that he said them.

I just have to laugh.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if I really was always right.  Tomorrow I’m sure he’ll say I’m never right.  You know how their emotions get the better of them at this age.  Glad I could be “right all the time” for a fleeting moment!
